Our Projects

When you join a WEST project, you will be participating in a 4-month long design project that expands your education to real-world problems, re-enforces course-related subjects, provides an application-based opportunity to apply your skills and grows your soft skills.

Throughout the project, weekly lectures on subjects pertaining to the challenge at hand are provided by industry-leaders and academic trailblazers. There are four major deliverables all students are required to complete: Proposal Report, Progress Presentation, Final Report, & Pitch Presentation.

Each project ends with a grand Showcase where students get an opportunity to network with our project partners, industry and academia. Students present their pitch presentation to a panel of judges to receive crucial feedback and celebrate four months of hard work and dedication!

Our Workshops

In addition to our 4-month long projects, WEST also hosts shorter workshops, wherein all participants are able to hone in and develop a particular skill set. Throughout the workshop, weekly lectures on subjects pertaining to the skill at hand will be held, allowing participants to build their skills and get hands-on experience developing their skills.

On top of building your skills from weekly lectures, you will also be able to take on a real-world challenge courtesy of our industry partners, network, and learn how to apply your skills directly from industry professionals.
